plug water lines to 63 RUDE CARB?

hey everyone,

what would be the affect if iw as to remove all the water lines from my hot water chock on my 1963 rude 40 hp big twin? 40353 model number.

i doont belive it works so i am just going to manually choke it. and what about the pressure lines coming off the rest of the carb? can i remove them and just not have them hooked up or would that cause a air leak and cause me to run lean/rich?

If you plugged everything from the choke you should be okay.

or if you left it alone, you'll be okay too. There is a manual position on that choke lever. The center position is the automatic and of course, the other postion is the closed position. Either way, you'll be okay. samo_ott says that his automatic choke works good on his motor, so you might check with him, on any tips to make it work right.
