I would suggest not buying a hub unless that is the issue. Take your prop to a prop shop and they can tell you if the hub has spun. If you bought the hub you would need to take to a shop anyway, at least from my small view point

What is the planing issue? Does the prop blow out? Or is the engine not able to move the boat as it once did?

The engine performed fine. I just noticed before I pulled it out for the season me and one other person was on it and I had it up to about 4800 rpms and only going 20 mph and really couldn't get the bow to come down. At this point I noticed that it slipped out of fear, I took it out of gear on the throttle, it did go back into gear once I got the rpms down. I'm hoping I just spun the hub but I'm leaning towards to just upgrading my lower unit to a bravo 3...
