Penta 3.0 dies at WOT

My 3.0L Penta from 2000 dies when i give gas, and after that it woun't start for 5-10 minutes.
It wount even ignite unless I give full gas or push the acc.pump, but when it's just a couple of revs.

The engine works just fine at idle, both in neutral and in gear.
I have rebuilt the carb (Holley 2300 500cfm) but the problem is still the same.

Ayuh,... Sounds like you need a New carb....

I'm with you. Spend a ton of money on anything else you can think of. Then address the carburetor issue. You can get upset all over again.

I didn't mean it like that. The sad thing is that where I live, a new carb costs $2000, hope I can find one cheaper on the internet. But before I buy a new one, I want to be sure that it's not a cheaper fix before I buy a new one.
