Okay, I bought the 3.3hp for $10 a while back and it's all rusted up inside. Junk but all there.
Today I bought (2) Evinrude 2hp engines that were missing carbs for $35. Both turned over with the pull start beautifully and even sound like there is some nice compression there.
I looked online at the parts diagrams for the 1997 3.3hp HE3ROEUD and the 1996 2hp E2ROEDE and it looks like the parts are exactly the same. They show the exact part numbers and everything from carb parts to piston and crank.
What makes the 3.3 have more power? Is the two just under rated power wise?
Will I be able to take the carb from the 3.3hp and put it on the 2hp??
I would love to make a running motor out of a $45 investment. Any insight?
