OMG! So Sorry to hear, I feel for those involved, sounds like Bad Fog (2ft visibility) was the cause, how can you avoid that,,, an accident is inevitable.

Man, what a mess. With only 2 dead I guess it could have been worse.

Had a bad one near here due to fog in 1990. It was where I-75 crosses the Hiwassee River. Some claim the nearby Bowaters Pulp plant created the fog. Ninety-nine vehicles, 12 dead, 50 injured. It was similar circumstance where one vehicle couldn't see the taillights of the one ahead due to fog. It was Tennessee's single worst accident.

Well I FOUND out in sept driving to Buffalo we drove into a WALL of water from a passing storm No place to really stop safe just kept moving SLOW and got LUCKY nobody hit because it was heavy traffic

That wreck was about 15 miles down the highway from me...I drive that hwy every day for work....we are going into the fog season here.....ya oughta see some of the crazy bast...s on the lake.....the fogs so bad you cant see 100 ft in front of the boat.......and I have seen (heard) guys WOT headed for the fishing hole!!!
