Outboard In Saltwater

Hi
Can anyone explain how to leave the outboard in saltwater in summer for the period of the summer in water. If its should be in water, half in water or out of water???

mine leaving it half on water and for reason of work i use it in weekends and i found every time my motor full of "grass"

Hello and welcome to iboats.

For the best results, please give make, model, HP rating and if possible serial# so that everyone knows what engine you have and your issue can help others as well.

Others with experience in saltwater will chime in soon.

Trim it all the way up out of the water. That way you dont get any marine growth on the lower unit and on the inside of the water passages.
