that they do not offer a E-Start kit for. I have a 2005 25hp big foot 4 stroke mercury and would like to put electric start on it but mercury does not offer a kit. so what are my options. buy each part and put together my own kit. i would think that would cost a good amount.

The first thing you do is check the fly wheel. If there is no gear ring under it , forget it. Or you can check models to see if you can interchange parts. Once you get that info you get a start kit for that model. What would Red Green do?:D

nope i don't have a ring gear on my flywheel. i looked into buying all that i needed and it was over 700+ so ima going to put that idea aside for now.
