First of all, cant get the model # to show at any parts places.

Second, when i look up similiar engine packages it shows the fuel pump to be obsolete.

What are people useing for replacement fuel pumps?
This is for a friends boat, i dont see many big block fords around here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks bondo, was thinking that may be the solution.

Not being familiar with the big blocks, can i assume that i can just plumb a switch in before the oil pressure swnding unit?

Are oil pressure switches readibly available and do I need a certain type or kind? Are some brands better than others?

Do you know what capacity or flow rate pump I need?

Just to finish this...

Ordered.and installed MMD Powerline MMD-P4389K electric fuel pump kit.

Came with most of the stuff you need. Had to fin a couple nipples and some plumbing stuff to install oil pressure switch. Also need to make some new fuel lines as the pump bracket will not mount to the engine. No big deal, mounted safely and routed lines and wires carefully.

One thing to note, the oil pressure switch terminals are labeled different on the switch itself as compared to the instruction sheet that was supplied with it.

Howdy,

That model number is more than likely a 754APFTC (1987 model year)

I had that engine in my 1987 Four Winns 211 Liberator.

Very few 'things' available for it. Tell your friend to find a spare pair of usable exhaust manifolds for it because when they start leaking (and he doesn't destroy the engine) he won't be able to buy new ones.

I swapped out the 460 KingKobra for a Mercruiser 454/Bravo in 2006 ....... Still have the boat!

Cheers,

Rick
