OMC Cobra 5.7 1984

Hello all,<br />If I said I am thinking of buying a Trophy with a Cobra 5.7 sterndrive 1984 vintage,<br />apart from the boat ( I know I know !) ..what is engine reliability like? In UK I use Sierra parts from IL and just looking at the 2000 catalogue they do seem to have everything for OMC Cobra's <br />(www.sieramarine.com)

Engine reliability with the 5.7 is no problem and parts availability again is no problem. Although Sierra has a lot of the drive parts available anything they do not have are going to be scarce. With the demise of OMC no parts are being produced for their drives.
