Any tricks to changing out a fuel filter on a OMC GM 3.0 ? I don't want to spill gas everywhere... and I don't see a fuel shut off before the filter. Any ideas would be great!
Thanks, Gary

IF you're talking about the water separator filter, try taking it off with a plastic bag under it as you screw it off. If you're talking about where the fuel line goes to the carb, I'd place some kind of absorbent rag under it to catch any drip.

There won't be a flow, just fuel in the bowl. You should also have a filter at the inlet of the carb. I might think about installing a seperator too. I think every boat needs one.

Thanks, so just something to suck up the gas in the bowl, then I amagine the pump will prime its' self. Does a seperator just go inline before the pump?
Thanks for the info, Gary

There won't be much in the bowl, the seperator does go before the pump. Zach
