old Sea King 5HP motor what year?

Greetings, Just got an old Sea King 5hp engine from my grandfather the other day and need to know the year so I can look up parts for it.

Model # 15GG-9015
Serial # 374653

I would like to get it running again for my grandfather.

Wards makes it easy. Reverse the 15 preceeding the GG, and you get 51----1951

You have a motor made by Gale Products division of OMC. Gale model 5D10. Has a neutral clutch, right?

honestly don't know about the neutral clutch, i've just recently gotten into boating and marine engine repair so i'm learning as I go. That said I can always post pictures of it once I get home from work

So, tmcalavy, newbie here I'll try not to be a dumbass. Does that go for an old 3.5 Sea King as well? I've had on laying around for years that I got from my brother etc. It looks really old like 50's or 60's, no forward or reverse. I'll try to post a picture...View attachment 114193... went and got the model #...J350-1106(B) or (3) Clinton Mfg. Thanks in advance for anyone's help on IDing what this is and maybe what the value might be. (It runs great). Serial # is XTV 27003 B.

Different motor, different manual.

J-350 looks like it was produced 1970-71 by clinton for sea-king and it is a 3.5 hp. hope this helps you out.
