Any reason you can't use an after market oil filter on a 2009 3.0 volvo,and if you can,what part #

Nope, but use good quality. I like K&N but they cost more than the marine ones.

Sorry cant help with the part no. K&N has a cross reference on their web site.

I use Napa filters on all of our boats. Either napa gold or the regular napa filters.

FYI Napa filters are all made by WIX, and are considered in the mechanics world to be top quality.

i went from ph30 to napa 1060 gold.
