Oil Filter Access for Suzuki DF140

Hello all. I have a new-to-me 2004 Suzuki DF140 that is due for an oil and filter change.

I like to do my own maintenance if I can, but the oil filter on this thing is in a pretty tight spot.

The oil filter is located below the lower cowl and appears really hard to reach. Can anyone tell me how to access it or if there is a trick to doing it?
