O-Ring OMC sepecific? Important?

I am slowly rebuilding my 1983 Johnson 115. I am now about ready to set the powerhead back onto the rest of the foot/lower unit. HOwever, I noticed that on the shaft that goes up into the lower main bearing from the lower unit, the oring just below the splines is cut. Can I go get one at tractor supply, or is this going to be an OMC specific that I must replace with OMC parts?

Its a standard O-Ring. No need for OMC
