I am trying to replace the impeller on my NS40C. I can't figure out how to disconnect the shift linkage. There is not enough play to disconnect the rod at the top. The bottom has pins going through the cable but I am unable to remove those either. The bolt holding the bracket up top is in a location that makes it next to impossable to remove. Any help, link, picture would greatly be appreciated.

Re: NS40C Shift Linkage Removal

I figured it out. It is the little pin holding the shift linkage from the upper and lower. Impeller was the original (only 100 hours on the motor) One small crack otherwise it is still intact. Glad for that so I didn't have to search for ruber throughout the motor. I will try to post pics later.
