If you own a boat, live in the northeast and like to saltwater fish ------ now is the time!!<br />Went out last Sunday to "the race" on Long Island Sound and had bent poles all day targeting stripers. Went out last weekend outside just off of LBI and spent the day chasing bunker pods. Right off the bat first cast I hooked up with a 15 lb blue on metal but did nothing the rest of the day. We tried everything, artificials, chunks, live bunker, never got even another hit. At least I got to pull out the gaff. Just waiting for the stripers to get hot here.

Thanks,I read that every week since 1997,first in the Magazine and for the last 5 years also on the net. As an upstate New Yorker I love their salt water reporting. New Englands Freshwater report is really not as hot as upstate.
