Holy cow trees are down everywhere, hardly anyone has power........wtf!!

Here's some pictures from the beach I took a bit ago.....


This is the protector harbor......where usually nothing happens.......I didn't notice the sail boat till after..

We thought about going out on the peir

This guy is gonna have a bad spring..

Just got a phone call from the city directing us to the local shelter!!

Really windy here too. Stuff blown all over the yard. I got a leak, now need to re-flash around the chimney. My wife went to a meeting and not 5 minutes after she left, a very large tree branch landed on the driveway where her new Jeep was parked........Lucky!

Worst storm in 20 yrs here on LI. 75kt winds and 4" rain. Power out 250,000 homes on LI. Lost my gutters, some siding, two trees, and my boat cover and bimini. Basement not good. Water needs to be boiled to use. Power finally back after 30 hrs. Tough two days here. Two neighbors cars submerged. Next block over trees fell thru houses. Next town over woman killed by tree fall. I'll add some pics if I get time.

Looks like it's going to be a 4th day with no power.

What's kinda funny is I'm pretty well prepared for this, only people better of than me are those who have generators.

All I did was go grab all my boating stuff (inverter, etc) and I've been fine.... Saw a 3000 watt inverter in a store today......almost dropped 300 bucks for it, but decided against it!

Finally getting back to "normal" here. The drone of generators echoes across the bay all night with 60,000 homes without power like yourself. Good luck and stay warm and dry!

and the second after I took it ALL THE LIGHTS TURNED ON!!!

Just letting the water heat up and off I am to a long hot shower!!

Thanks for the stacks, I don't have my tripod and I'm using the wrong lens and stuff but the stacks from my view are the red lights..
