No water coming from water pump hole with muffs

Can't remember if water should come out without the engine running or not. Currently it is not and don't want to crank up the engine if it should.

I typically have never seen a motor pee unless the engine was cranked. Unless the engine is cranked the impeller won't be spinning to take the water up.

You wont get water coming out till you crank it over.. This is typical for all outboards.

I would be worrying if water was coming out with the engine not running, generally it means the impeller is shot.
Crank her up.
