2000 115 txry(?) 2 stroke.
Starts great and runs all day at an idle.
Give it gas and it dies.
Won't rev up.
Not overheating, good gas, carbs spotless, good comp all 4, good spark, fuel pump new, plugs good, linkage ok, motor seems to be in good shape, just no go.

"""GUESSING???"""Is it possible the stator could be bad and not delivering past an idle? Not sure about a 2 stage stator? "" again just a guess from something I might have overheard???"""
It seems to be charging, 12.2/3v at idle, running 12.6v
ANY THOUGHTS , IDEAS???

THANKS!!! Jerry

Open low speed mixture screws 1/4 turn and test run.----Or if they are air screws then close 1/4 turn and test run.

I'm not sure if this helps you but I had the same issue with my lawnmower years ago. The problem was a carburetor gasket.

some Yamahas do have a low speed and a high speed charge coil.
I have no idea if yours has that or not.
your service manual for that motor would have info on that

Unfortunately, no service manual.
But!! I fixed it.
The carbs needed the floats reset.
Took them apart, cleaned, reset the floats and she runs great.

Good to hear it is running better,
but I do not understand how the float setting would keep it from running at higher RPM.
were they way off and not letting fuel into the carbs?
