Nissan 8 to 9.8

Can you turn 8hp 2 stroke nissan in to a 9.8 ? what will it take to do it ? I did my 9.9 to a 15 but need a lighter motor and can't find a 9.8 2 stroke

If it's a 8B, change carburetor and adjust timing. Specs are in the Factory service manual, available at any Tohatsu/Nissan dealer.
