Hey Folks,
Last year I had great results rebuilding my 1976 Johnson 115hp. A year later and it is SWEET! I had forgot how nice it is to go fishing and not have to worry about whether the engine will start or not. Thanks to iBoats and all of the forum support for all the help.
My new project is a 1985 35hp Mercury. It came with a used pontoon boat attached.
It is having some power and cutting off problems at WOT, although it does well at idle and even runs good on the muffs.
I am ordering rebuild kits for fuel pump and carbs, and new fuel line connectors as a start, but any other insight on this issue would be great.
Most important, I need a good service manual. I bought a Seloc on my Johnson, but ended up getting a factory manual through Ken Cook. I would rather just get a factory manual on the Mercury, but it doesn't look like Ken Cook does those.
As always, any help is greatly appreciated!
