Hello
I'm new to the forum and I need some advice.
I have to replace the floor in an 18' Starcraft Super Sport,
and I don't know a thing about marine plywood.
The local lumber supplier has 1/2"x4'x8' sheets for
$80.00 a sheet. Is that a reasonable price or can it be
beat on line?
Thanks for any help.

Re: New floorboards

There are quite a few threads on here with pros and cons of marine grade ply.

My opinion is that if you can find it locally with a reasonable price, it doesn't make sense not to use it. If you need to pay for shipping or the total price tips the scale the other way then it may not be worth the price. A premium quality exterior grade ply that's dry should work well if you coat all sides and edges with resin.

Again - just my 2 cents worth. There are several bloody wars ... err, I mean threads here discussing both sides of the issue.

Hahahahahaha!!
YES ANOTHER STARCRAFT!!!!!
Man..We rule this site now..I dare any to say otherwise!!!!

Ok...Welcome Aboard!!! (We will need pics, we are funky that way!)

Lets see..

Order online? Plus freight charges wont cut it..no pun.

Replacing a deck is not too difficult..If I can do it, well then the Sky's the limit.

Basically dont waste your $$ on the marine

Exterior grade ply from any (take your pick) DIY Home Improv center.
Resin and glass both sides and edges
Screw (stainless steel) or pop rivit and there you are done!

You can do a search on replacing deck...The search button is right under the WELCOME STEVE A W area on the top o the page
