Need to tame my new V8 Scorpian 210

So I just bought an early eighties Scorpian 210 with a crate Merc 5.7. The problem is the exhaust goes straight out the back so it is wayyyyy tooo loud. Now the past owner showed me that the connections were still there to reconnect the exhaust through the lower unit. I tried ebay but could not figure out which elbow I need. Any ideas?

Ayuh,... You'll need the cast iron/ aluminum elbows that match whichever Y-pipe is installed in the boat to go back to thru-prop exhaust,...

I'd be more worried about the Smokey exhaust,+ Why it's that way myself....

Be sure to read my response on your other post about this boat - there are some serious concerns about the way the boat was run with no water and the outdrive in the trailer position... things to check before putting it in the water.

I didnt read that but I know the lower until was rebuilt. The smoke was from it being winterized...(i hope). I have it now in the driveway and there almost no smoke. It idles real smooth..just too loud. Do the elbows have to be stainless, can they be rubber?
