Yesterday I launched my boat, first time since 1st part of August, to go fishing. It ran rough at idle, and would die when trottle was push forward. I checked fuel line, it was okay. Removed engine hood, and looked for the obvious, no leaking fuel from carb throat, plug wires all attached and solid, etc. When I put my hand over carb throat it started running faster, but then died. I tried that again, but with a couple fingers so more air could be drawn in, and it ran pretty good. I took the boat out, and went home to work on it. Remove carb bowl plug, and flushed by squeezing bulb. Fuel looked clean. Tried different spark plugs, no difference.
Any ideas of what's going on? Could it be the fuel pump?
