Need help with exhaust bellows

OK on my 93 Four winns 5.0 OMC I take on about a half gallon of water every day on the lake and am trying to figure out where from. I was looking under my outdrive and my exhaust bellow has every ridge cut so when the outdrive is up there are gapping holes every inch, is this normal or do I need to replace it? It looks like to fine of a cut to be falling apart.

Thats normal on those. So they can drain ?

That sucks, I was hoping that was the cause of the water in the bilge, welp on to the next possability thanks for your help.
