Well, spring is finally here and I've got one month to take care of a few remaining items to make this summer even better. I've got a slip on Lake George for the entire year and we're dropping our baby right after the lake thaws! Here's what the lake looks like today on Hall's realtime webcam: http://www.hallsboat.com/lake-george-webcam.shtml

Anyway, I managed to get the old steering wheel off and I'm not sure if I should select a new wheel (if it would even fit my mounting) or if it's easier to have mine recovered. Here is what the mounting looks like. There is some old off-white adhesive that isn't part of the basic mounting.

I'm just not sure if this would be an easy aftermarket replacement or if my mounting is too weird to match. Any advice is welcome! :)

Your tapered steering shaft is standard and pretty much any ol' boat steering wheel will fit it. However that gear looking thingie has got to come off.
