Need Help Identifying Mystery Recoil Pull-Starter (Pictures Included)

Cannot i.d. this pull starter. It has the same numbers (6E001) on both the inner-metal section and also on the plastic section (that holds the rope). I thought it was a Johnson/Evinrude but these numbers don't make any sense. I hate to trash this since someone out there probably needs one since this part is often the first to fail on most outboards. Here's some pix.

The fact that it lists torque value in metric tells me it is likely Japanese origin.

Got it - Yamaha / Mariner 4 & 5 hp from the 1980s to early 2000s, as per boats.net and their parts listings.
