Mtsterious part found in motor compartment

I found a grey tube in the bottom of engine compartment. It is grey plastic 1/2" diameter and 10.5 " long. What is this ? maybe it is nothing ?

I know,I know. It's a grey plastic tube about 1/2" diameter and 10.5" long. Am I right? I can't see it that well from where I am. A closer pic might help, in fact any pic would help, don'tcha think.

Down in the bilge huh? Do you have livewells? Is it a hose for filling a bait tank? What kinda boat is this and yes, a pic would say a thousand words..

Cover tube for the steering rod? was that ever replaced?

Sounds like it could also be the pickup tube for a bottle of stern drive fluid. (Ask me how I know)

I vote steering cable cover tube from under the helm. Last boat had one that came off.

I was wondering if it could be a pickup extension for the bilge pump. I cant see the bilge only feel it.
