Am buying a boat with the GPS (Furuno 1610 chartplotter/gps, fish finder) but its up in the electronics box in the T-top and it seems a little hard for me to see it. (I'm 5'8")
Ideally I'd like to have a bracket so I can use it either on the top on my console OR back in the t-top. In other, I'd like to be able to move it occasionally.

Short of that, I'd like to but the bracket/receiver (whatever that's called) on top of the console at eye level permanently, instead of up high.
Here's the question. Is this a big job?

Re: Moving the gps?

The only possible problem I see, Capecliff, is the routing of the transducer cable for the sonar and the location of the GPS antenna. I doubt that either would be a problem, but I can't see what you have to work with.

Red sky at night. . .
JB :)
