I've got a Mercury-Marine Plant 22 control for my Mercury outboard. It was having some sticking issues, so did some dockside repair only to have Murphy's Law intervene. As a result the aluminum backing plate that covers the cable connections is resting in 25' of water at the bottom of the bay.
Does anyone know if I can get a replacement plate or does a whole new assembly need to be purchased? The whole assembly is $250-$300, but hate to do that when the current one is working fine if I could just find a replacement plate.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
