Mercury optimax 115 trim

So, seems like a basic question. We just bought a new to us deck boat with this motor. We came from a searay IO and trim was very important for cruising with that engine.
Is standard practice to cruise engine trimmed all the way down for slow cruising 5-10 mph?

Just like your I/O I would think for slow cruising 5-10 mph it should be trimmed all the way down.

Outboard boats are typically pretty well balanced from a weight perspective. Stay pretty flat while coming on plane. I rarely if ever go much below neutral trim, prop parallel to the surface. No need

The great thing about an outboard is the ability to run in shallow water. I’ve “cruised” for miles trimmed up just before trailer mode kicks in.
