Mercury 2008 3.5hp wont stay running long

Hey does any one know what might be wrong with my motor its a 2008 Mercury 3.5hp outboard, when I first get it in the water it will run for 20 mins(or so) then die sounding like it ran out of fuel but then you give it a minute and it will start right back up but then it will only run for like 5 mins after that. I have cleaned the carb and it does not help. Thanks for any advice.

Me too. Just removed and cleaned out the carb, petcock, tank, all lines and replaced spark plug. Starts every time, but stalls when throttled up unless choked, even with gas cap off. Need help figuring this out.
