Does anyone know the amperage these starters are suppose to draw?

I beleive someone said it shouldn't drop below 10v when cranking in the thread earlier.

Right, and mine only drops to 10 under starting load.

That being said, I pulled it and took it up to the local autoparts store this evening to have it tested (beyond the capabilities of my multimeter).

It was only drawing 25-40 amps on their machine. I figure typical automotive starter is 60+ amps?

Just not sure what these things would draw, and if that low amperage means my starter is bad?
