Mercury 1150 inline 6 (mid 70's) trim pump issue.

I have a Mercury 1150 inline 6 (mid 70's).

One day the trim started getting slow (up and down), trimmed it up to get it on the trailer pulled the bout out of the water and the trim would just click when trim up is pressed, nothing when down is pressed.

I replaced the motor with a rebuilt one and it did the same thing, I replaced the solenoid, +/- wires and still the same thing even when I jump the solenoid.

I am running out of ideas and tired of tossing parts at it.

Any advice will be helpful.

Sounds like bad electrical connections. Check the connections from the PTT reservoir to the battery. Jumper the solenoids to eliminate the trim switches. The trim switches are real robust, but that motor is pretty old now, so who knows.
