I am in the middle of trying to replace the u-joints on a gen ll alpha outdrive on a 2000 model boat. I see that there are a number of u joints that fit. The demnsions to the inside clips should be 2.125 in. I bought two precision brand 315g u-joints locally and the measurement to the c clips is a little wider...by about 20 thousands. Has anyone had experience with these? Do these squeeze this much when pressing in to the yoke? thanks

Re: Mercruiser u-joint replacement,

There is a cross reference to u-joints in the ----Adult Section-----(item #20, post #5) at the top of this forum. I believe the 315g's are listed as MOOG.
