Mercruiser exhaust (transom side) - fitting new style to old style?

Hey guys, can anyone help me figure out how to mount the newer-style exhaust (which covers all three holes) onto a mercruiser transom assembly? My original exhaust covered only the main oval exhaust hole, sealed by an o-ring. The two dummy holes underneath remained uncovered.

My new motor (Mercruiser 3.0 TKS crate motor) came with the newer style exhaust, which covers all three holes. I know that they sell an odd-shaped o-ring for this style exhaust, but there doesns't seem to be a way for it to seal onto the transom assembly - because the transom has spots for three individual o-rings.

Do I just use 3 o-rings and a ton of silicone to mate the two pieces? What's the secret here, what am I missing?

PS I can't use my original lower exhaust piece because the angles don't match up with the new style riser that mercruiser uses on the TKS motors unfortunately.

Mods, PLEASE DELETE. Figured out the issue but not the solution, started a new thread with updated information for clarity.

use the transom pipe that fits your transom shield, then use the rubber exhaust hose from the elbow on the manifold.

Can't unfortunately ::( All of the angles are different from the new style, won't line up. At least not with the existing rubber hoses, could possibly find a rubber junction that could work.

Ayuh,.... Seems like I've answered this recently,.....

Yer transom assembly will accept the newer style down-pipe,....

You could seal it with Hondabond, or yamabond case sealant, insteada the o-rings,....
