Mercruiser 4.3 just clicks

Tried to fire it up this afternoon and it just clicks.
Any ideas why? and not cranking/turning over?

Thanks for the reply. Would it do that if the cables are loose or no?

if the cables are loose, the connections corroded, or the cable is funky full of corrosion (green).

clean all the battery cable connections with 300 grit sand paper until they are shiny enough your mother would eat off them

tighten all the connections with a wrench (any wing nuts should be replaced with real nuts)

seal all connections with marine electrical varnish
