my cousin just bought a motor with 50hrs on it. its a mercruiser 260 thunderbolt 4 with a alpha 1 outdrive. we was working on it today to do all the tune up stuff when we went to start it the motor kept rolling over when the key was turned off. the only way to stop it was to unhook the battery cables. now mind the motor isnt in the boat yet its on the floor in the garage. what would cause this? do i have a wire backwards? i have spark so i know that is good.
