merc 850 question

i have a 1977 merc 850, no factory trim and tilt. is it possible to put on a factory trim and tilt system? if so, from what year of outboard would work? any advice would be appreciated.

Most of the 1970s PTT units will fit that motor. Maybe some early 80's PTT systems. Check Crowleymarine.com for the parts diaghrams and match 'em up. That motor uses the PTT system with the two trim cyinders and the trim pump that is installed in the boat, like my '77 merc 1500.
