max rpm

stupid question. will moving my trim pin in or out effect my max rpm. im going thru my log and relize i didnt spend a lot of time adjusting it. thanks.

It changes loading on the motor, so it will affect loaded rpm

You wouldn't use that adjustment to achive the correct RPM though, the trim is used to fine tune the ride and handling, once that is correct then you go about adjusting for the correct RPM.

If you run OB slight over or under trimmed will achieve slight more top rpm but will not acihieve more top end speed as prop looses best angle of attack along best prop thrust as when OB sits at 90?when combo rides parallel to water level, Once there, will achieve best prop thrust. Proper OB/transom height plays hand in hand with correct trim.
