I hope some one can help me?
I have a 50 Hp 3cyl Marriner, 1990 that I use in the safety fleet looking after Optimist sailors. She's worked grate for two years but started dropping onto one or two cyl at the end of the season. Its intermittent but seems to be getting worse,it actually conked out completely in one regatta and I had to be towed in!
I've disconnected the two yellow wires to the rectifier and that made no difference. Is it the power pack or stator or triggers or something else. I have a basic (old type with a needle) multi meter if you can offer some diagnostic instructions.
I just don't want to spend money on the wrong part!
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
