I have a friend with an older mariner outboard, it's a 75hp, and oil injected. It ran strong until the last time out last year when it bogged down and stalled never to run again since. He only used it once last year and the gas has been sitting in the tank for a year or so. I'm gonna try to run it off a fresh tank of gas and see what happens, I'll check the plugs, and the compression. Anything else that I should look at? Thanks.

Just two. Remember the spray bottle trick,(spray mix directly into carbs), as it may be a blocked carb.

The Black wire with yellow stripe going to the switchbox is the kill wire. Disconnecting it at the switchbox elliminates any possabilites of a defective kill switch, ignition switch, wire harness ect).
