Morning guys! Have a mariner 40 magnum, runs absolutely amazing, but I'm getting a fuel leak where I circled causing a pretty good rainbow in the lake. This appears to be the rod where the throttle plate is attached. really pain to get to and get the carb off, so I wanted to check the consensus to see what everyone was thinking, if its a float problem and thats where its overflowing or if I need to look somewhere else?

Thanks as always!

If that is a vertical throttle shaft , then yes they can leak there.------Not a simple fix to stop that.

Make sure your inlet needle is sealing when the carb bowl is full. If the carb bowl overflows, it often leaks there.
