Manifold Drains - To Drain or Not to Drain?

What is the best procedure after flushing? Pull the manifold drains or leave them? I live in Tampa so not concerned with freezing, and I do pull the drains when I know I'm putting the boat up for extended periods of more than 1-2 weeks.

draining wont do much good down here, you have to replace the manifolds every 5 years if your in salt water anyway

Ayuh,.... Considerin' the wet, dry cycle promotes rust, 'n flakin',.....

I'd think full of freshwater 'bout as good as it gets,....

Thanks Bondo! When I do take my boat in the salt it's a unique drive as most the time I take it down the Hillsborough river and out into Tampa Bay. When I return, I drive up the river far enough to the local park where the water is purely freshwater (not brackish). I always flush it when I get home but I like the idea that the outdrive, etc, is still sitting and operating in fresh water the entire time up the river.
