Friends,

Do any of you know which of several boat-builders made the 14 & 15 foot finned runabout hulls of 1958 & sold by Montgomery Ward as SEA KING boats?
(At various times, at least the following companies contracted to make Sea King boats for Montgomery Ward: CHRIS-CRAFT, FT. DODGE, SPAN AMERICA, SPEED QUEEN, SUPER CRAFT, TRAILERBOAT & WIZARD. - There may have been other boat-builders that made Sea King boats on contract.)

While I have carefully examined the www.fiberglassics.com "library", I cannot find a boat that looks like the 1958 Sea King runabout that I have. - Perhaps it was designed especially for Wards or the brochures of the contractors is NOT complete. - I simply don't know.

THANKS for reading this note.

yours, satx

Did Elgin make any for MontyWard or just Sears.

Last unknown 50s finned glass boat I saw ID'd was an Elgin produced for Sears....

Good luck w your quest to ID her

jbcurt00, "Elgin" was a registered trademark/trade-style of SEARS, ROEBUCK & COMPANY & to my knowledge NO boat/motors/trailers were ever sold under that "name" by anyone but Sears. yours, satx
