low oil red lamp came on today

I was running down the river today my low oil red lamp came on I shut down then restarted light went off and did not come back on. Was in rough water running about 50 mph. Is this lamp the reservoir low it was not as i checked and added some before i left. or is it the oil pressure to the pump Cub48

1998 Stratos 150 Faststrike yes the horn went off.has never done this before. Was in some choppy water and running about 50 mph. I shut it down as fast as i could. Turn the switch back on it did it's checks and went out i let it idle a min and started running down river got on some smooth water opened it back up running good. cub48

If it was the LOW OIL, the float in the oil tank could have got hung up for some reason. I'd say run it and see what happens.

That what i was thinking the rough water may of bounced the float down. Thanks Cub48
