Weird situation here.
I have a 1969 Mercury 650 4cyl-2 stroke.
It starts easy, runs GREAT...
When I have it on land, with the hose and muffs on it, I get LOTS of throttle and RPMs
When I drop it into the lake, I get hardly anything.
It is NOT the motor position, as I have it in the same position on land and in the water. The only difference is the load on the prop in the water.
On land, I get what seems like a TON of throttle..but once in the water, it appears I have a lot less..can't get the RPMs up and I barely move.
Any ideas?
