lorrance depth finder

Took my boat out and had a blast. I have no idea how to set my depth finder. It is made by lorrance and has two buttons on the bottom side. One has an up arrow and the other has a down arrow. The alarm kept going off and the depth reading is not accurate. Can anyone help?<br />Thanks

Thanks JB. I found what I needed. That erroneous shallow depth alarm going off all day was getting to me.
