This will be my first PWC, and I have done some research, but I have questions.
1) Based on materials I have read, the cat cons are temporary at best and many convert to a D-plate immediately due to the failure rate of the cat cons in these. Is there any way to confirm that this has been done without taking it apart?
2) Many people seem to have a love hate relationship with the power valves. It is my understanding that Yamaha did without these right around the 2005 model year, is that correct?
3) Are there any other maintenance items that I should look at right away? Anything that is a red flag with these?
Seller is asking $4,000 with trailer. It has about 90 hours on it.
