i have a 6hp longshaft on a 12 ft v-hull, and was wondering if it would be worth it to raise the transom. The current setup pushes the boat about 7mph, I heard that raising the transom to proper height would increase speed. What kind of speed should be expected out of a 6hp? So is it worth it, and what is the best/least expensive way to increase transom height? Thanks.
